With Chinese New Year being one of the hottest colorways of the year just about every silhouette gets a rendition. Depending on the year depends on what the concept of the sneaker is or the direction in which the sneaker goes, this year is the year of the pig. With a relatively hard animal to immaculate, Adidas decided to go with the animal greatly associated with the Chinese New Year, the dragon. The Adidas BYW is a sock-like knitted upper that is red designed with almost scale-like embroidering in yellow and gold. Written in bold letters spanning the entire show is written “AMBITION” as most of Pharrell's collabs have something written across the shoe. As most primeknit shoes these should not be worn during any rainy seasons so to be worn primarily during Summer and Fall, the gold and yellow on the shows pop as the sun reflects off of them. Being that they are a sock-like shoe they hug and fit exactly on your foot, I wouldn't suggest wearing jeans unless the ankle hugs the shoe. You can wear these with any ankle tapered sweats along with a yellow, red, gold, black or white shirt. I would wear these sneakers with white Adidas socks, black sport french terry pants with a yellow Comme des Garcons shirt with a red heart on it.
